As a Senior Partner at Garris Horn LLP, I actively manage complex mortgage banking litigation and mitigation matters all across our Country, for our diverse clientele of depositories, IMBs, credit unions, brokers, insurance carriers, vendors, and more. Over the 20+ years that I have actively represented the mortgage banking community, my incredible staff of professionals and I have successfully resolved hundreds of litigation and/or mitigation matters that involve complex mortgage fraud schemes, large-scale repurchase disputes, a myriad of regulatory compliance issues, non-competes/non-solicitation/trade secrets, mergers/acquisitions, and more. Some of the cases that I have been lead counsel on include, but are not limited to, cases filed by CitiMortgage, ResCap, Franklin American, Chase, EMC, the FDIC, Lehman Bros, and more. In addition to having been admitted to practice in many different states, on a pro hac vice basis, I have also been admitted to practice in all the federal district courts in California. Finally, during this time, I have also made numerous media appearances and industry presentations regarding the prevention, detection and resolution of mortgage fraud, repurchase, make-whole related matters, and educating the industry on how to keep their companies compliant within an ever-shifting regulatory environment.
