ABOUT JAMES BIRD

Served two years as a production supervisor working in a multi-cultured union based manufacturing/processing facility. Being a proven leader and self-motivator presented the opportunity to be a corner stone piece to the biggest expansion of company history. This role required a competitive goal and result orientated mentality that assisted in the expansion of responsibilities. In this position it was necessary to perform a demanding work schedule of seven days a week while staying focused on the smallest of details, watching over CCPs, personnel management, and the overall quality of production. Being that this was the first step in the process it was essential for the department to exceed expectations in order for the other departments to be successful. After the second year as a production supervisor stepped into a new position and new list of responsibilities as the second shift superintendent. This role took a similar attitude requiring oversee of several different departments with five supervisors having less than one year of experience to lead 200+ employees. Coaching them to lead and teach their employees how to exceed the expectations on results, goals, efficiencies, quality goals and regulatory affairs. For this position it was imperative for the formation of relationships between production from shift to shift, Quality Assurance, Human Resources, Sales, and Corporate to be successful.
