ABOUT JAMES BELL

I am a western transplant originally from the upper midwest. I moved to Colorado in 1995 and spent 11 years in Fort Collins, and then 7 years in Monterey, California. I am proud of my Wisconsin roots and our inherent work ethic, and I always look for connections from \"home\". My wife Mandy and I are the proud parents of two beautiful children, Henry and Spencer, and we are glad to live here on the beautiful Colorado Front Range.I have been working in the Hospitality Industry for over 30 years, and have spent the last year working for Aimbridge Hospitality as a Select Service Dual General Manager for 8 years. We were acquired from White Lodging Services, where I spent 3 years in various hotels in the area. Before moving to Select Service, I spent 10 years working for Marriott International as a Senior Food and Beverage Manager in a Full Service Hotel. Now that I have experience as a General Manager, I feel my experience is well rounded, as I look toward the future.My work style is disciplined and thorough, and have been successful leading many diverse teams through many victories and challenges. I feel teaching has always been one of my strengths, as I enjoy finding creative ways to help my staff understand the ideas behind the standards. I have the ability to explain complex concepts in relatable terms, inject humor when appropriate, and create motivation through our shared experiences. I have many years of P&L accountability and know how to follow budgets and plan for financial success. I am seasoned in all Human Resources functions, and provide professionalism as a fair but firm leader. I also enjoy the hospitality industry, and each day I bring an infectious positive attitude to my work environment.\"All of us get lost in the darkness, dreamers learn to steer by the stars.\"
