   Mr. Barton is a trial lawyer and the founding shareholder of BartonCerjak S.C, a litigation boutique dedicated to providing its clients with uncompromising advocacy in state and federal courts around the country. Prior to founding Barton Legal, Mr. Barton was a partner at Hansen Reynolds LLC, a multi-state litigation boutique based in Milwaukee. Before his time at Hansen Reynolds, Mr. Barton was an associate in the litigation practice group at Michael Best & Friedrich LLP, one of Wisconsin\'s oldest and largest law firms. Mr. Barton has significant experience initiating and defending a variety of cases through trial and appeal in substantive areas of law such as: copyright infringement, shareholder disputes, breach of contract disputes, Indian gaming disputes, commercial torts, defamation, interstate shipping disputes, product liability, premises liability, professional liability, trademark infringement, real estate, consumer warranties, consumer fraud claims, insurance-coverage litigation, and Articles 2, 2A, 3, 5, 8, and 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code.Outside of litigation, Mr. Barton has experience drafting comprehensive warranties subject to both Article 2 of the Uniform Commercial Code as well as the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act; drafting complex liability waivers; and advising clients on Wisconsin\'s Recreational Immunity Statute. He also has experience counseling clients on a variety of regulatory matters including compliance with the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act; food labeling requirements subject to the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act; and the distribution of alcohol at the state and federal level.
