I head the Cellular Imaging Core Facility, and advanced microscopy facility within the University of Oxford.My role includes hand on microscopy, user training, teaching seminars as well as financial and personal management. Together with my team I provide training and ongoing support on a wide range imaging modalities, I also offer advice and guidance at all stages of imaging projects from conceptualisation, through to planning, sample preparation, imaging, data analysis, figure preparation and finally publication.I work with industry to leverage the latest technologies capable of answering complex and high consequence research questions.I am passionate about making research facilities the best they can be and linking them with broader scientific strategy. I am the Nuffield Department of Medicine small research facilities network lead and an active member of the Center for Human Genetics Executive Committee.
