About James Bamberger

My position, EHS Audit, Infrastructure & Technical Standards Manager is an EHS leader focused on EHS project management from pre-planning through project completion. I am the primary EHS liaison and EHS technical partner to Engineering, CREWS, IT, Site Facilities, Ops and all other QRG project leaders responsible for any level of construction or other QRG infrastructure work requiring EHS input to ensure team member and contractor safety as well as ensure regulatory standards are incorporated and budgeted into the project. My role equally serves as the focused EHS leader for internal EHS auditing, program gap analysis incorporating ergonomics with new construction and existing infrastructure improvement projects and identifying, developing, and implementing all EHS Technical programs.

    General Job Role/Duties Partner with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) program and systems manager to develop programs and procedures Regulatory requirements (OSHA, ANSI, and other consensus standards) Best management practices Incorporate internal and external reviews (both peer and legal) Present final drafts of reviews to senior management Develop safety specifications for all equipment Utilize all applicable standards (ANSI, OSHA, CEMA, NFPA, etc.) Develop and lead the Qurate Retail Group (QRG) safety assurance program Ensure that EHS programs are being measured for operational and regulatory compliance Utilize the peer audit ownership program Develop and maintain machine guarding specs, PIT specs, and other equipment specs per QRG, regulatory, and consensus standard expectations Develop and implement functional EHS Risk Assessments for all new equipment Partner with Engineering, Facilities, CREWS, and other departments/organizations to effectively manage changes within the buildings Conduct audits and inspect worksite construction and building change projects Provide action items and manage resolution of the action items with the applicable QRG partners Lead QRG ergonomics program for inclusion with infrastructure building projects Partner with Continuous Improvement Team Responsible for creating and leading QRG US EHS Launch Program Ensure all new building construction meets QRG EHS specifications Responsible for working with 3rd party vendors during installations Ensure all EHS regulatory and internal QRG EHS requirements are maintained Determine building EHS decommissioning requirements Maintain and update budget requirements Safety supplies, equipment, and signage required for any building launch Manage official EHS supply list and EHS supply risk assessment Committee Involvement/Process Improvement Projects/Other Programs or Projects QRG Safety Assurance Program QRG Ergonomics Program
