About James Bailey

DRIVES EFFICIENCY THROUGH IMPROVED TRAINING, RETENTION, & OVERALL JOB SATISFACTION The value of working hard to achieve goals was ingrained in me during my summers spent with my grandparents. I was determined to do well in school and started setting my own goals at a very young age. By the time I reached 6th grade, I had set my mind on attending the United States Military Academy at West Point in New York to become an army officer. My passion for learning was evident as I was a straight-A student and still sought out opportunities to learn and grow. After enlisting in the army, I was later selected to attend the United States Military Preparatory School (USMAPS) and went on to successfully complete the program where I was then admitted to West Point. Here I was challenged for the first time which pushed me to analyze my study techniques and adopt practices that contributed to my ongoing success. This innate ability to analyze complex situations has stayed with me throughout my career. After graduating from West Point, I went on to serve as a platoon leader, executive officer, and BN supply and transportation officer for 3 years until I was medically discharged. I continued with direct leadership roles with a heavy training element after leaving the military. Since May 2008, I have worked in various capacities with increasing responsibility with the U.S. Department of State.Currently, as an Executive in Organizational and Leadership Development, I have an unparalleled history of driving organizational goals through training, leadership, development, and organizational advancement. I am an achievement-oriented leader with strong experience training and developing teams of up to 4500 personnel in the military, government, non-union, and union shops. By facilitating a world-class culture through leadership and enhanced administrative procedures, I am able to repeatedly elevate metrics in every position. I lift employee morale, drive retention, improve efficiency, and magnify an employee’s overall performance and satisfaction.Specialties include: Leading Training and Development | Driving Process Improvement | Customer Satisfaction | Problem Solving | Serving as a Strategic Partner | Training Best Practices | Leadership Development | Mentoring | Coaching | Team Building | Budget Oversight | Course Design | Program Design & Implementation | Change Management | Strategic Analysis
