About James A. Nettles
I have extensive experience in the design, analysis, and inspection of various types of highway and rail road bridges, including single to multi-span, P/S concrete I-beam, spread box and adjacent box beam (composite / non-composite), steel girder, curved steel girder, and timber structures as well as environmental, residential and low-rise commercial structures. I am familiar with L.F.D, L.R.F.D and A.S.D methodologies and A.A.S.H.T.O, ACI, PCI, AISC, AREMA, ASCE-7 and state (PA, NJ) Turnpike design codes / specifications,My professional goal is to complete projects and assignments in a stream-lined and efficient manner abiding by project scope and applicable codes to satisfy project schedule, budget and customer expectations. I enjoy challenges and am proactive in resolving issues that arise during a project\'s design or construction phase by actively working alongside co-workers, clients and contractors. I take great pride in my work and in my company\'s product and always strive to put forth a safe, aesthetically pleasing and quality product that exceeds our clinets expectations.In my free time I enjoy spending time with my wife (Amy) of 20+ years and our four boys (18, 16, 12, 10). I also enjoy staying active by playing sports, exercising, running and reading. For over 8 years I have vounteered as a coach for youth sports (basketball, baseball and football) and currently serve as a board member for each organization.
