About Jamelle Austin
Originally hired in the Denver Public Schools (DPS) district as a part time special education Para-professional, I have worked my way through the ranks of DPS to become an Assistant Dean at the premier Denver School of Science and Technology(DSST) network. My extensive work heading up Attendance/Discipline operations at Montbello High School as well as my time spent in the Choice and Enrollment department, within the district’s main office has given me invaluable management and budget experience. My work in the DSST Network has afforded me valuable administration skills. Additionally, my experience as a high school football coach, and community member within the Far North East Denver metro area has provided me with the tools to work with, manage, and lead a diverse group of people and personalities.
