I have the honor to provide mentorship for an apprentice of water treatment operations specialist. I have the opportunity to impart my knowledge and expertise to train the apprentice to become a licensed operator. Support is provided by going to water industry conferences or sponsoring the apprentice to go to events for additional training. This is a 2 year apprenticeship and once the apprentice has successfully completed on the job training hours, 288 related technical training hours and pass their state exam they’ll be a graduated apprentice and get a credential from the Department of Labor.
