Client Services (80%):• Provides service to newly arrived GARS for the first 15 days from the date of arrivalincluding intake and assessment and addresses immediate settlement and housingneeds• Acts as a first point of contact for client enquires onsite in hotels, etc and via phone,email as needed• Provides services in a supportive, culturally-sensitive and linguistically-appropriatemanner• Informs and orients clients on settlement related topics and services available in thecommunity• Ensures their boarding at the residence meets acceptable standards and support theirtransitioning to stable housing after 15 days• Facilitates referrals and access to available resources in the community, social services,professional services and government programs• Advocates on client\'s behalf when appropriate to other service providers• Provides outreach services to new clients and families• Organizes and provides other support groups as neededOther Duties (20%):• Participates actively in all mandated training, staff meetings and workshops• Maintains and submits accurate tracking documents and monthly reporting updates tothe supervisor• Maintains appropriate database records and files pertaining to settlement servicesprovided to clients• Ensures appropriate and confidential handling of all client information and files• Operates in accordance with the policies, guidelines, and protocols of the program andpartner organizations• Accepts other duties as assigned
