At Leading Routes, I’m helping to shape our next chapter as we scale up to supporting Black students and researchers from across the UK through our programmes, events, training, and research activities.I focus on:🧭 Building operational resilience – designing structures and systems that support long-term sustainability. Establishing financial processes – developing budgets, financial controls, and outsourced support functions.🧑 Strengthening governance – supporting the formation of a Board, policy framework, and decision-making structures.🪄 Transition management – leading our move from hosted status to independence, exploring company options and legal/risk implications.🤝 Partnerships and collaboration – working with funders, partners, and advisors to secure resources and share learning. Strategic planning – aligning operations with our mission, values, and long-term goals.I’m passionate about using strategy, data, impact, and collaboration to build equitable systems — and proud to strengthen the operational backbone of a movement transforming access, belonging, and success for Black communities in higher education and research.
