ABOUT JAMAL CORT
I am currently a Physical Therapist/ Athletic Trainer in a sports medicine setting, working for the Utah Jazz. As a Certified Athletic Trainer, I have tended to the medical needs of professional athletes in both the NFL and NBA. These experiences include two internships with the Minnesota Vikings, and a position as a seasonal assistant athletic trainer with the New York Knicks. During these opportunities, I have been able to apply and become proficient in skills aimed at preventing, evaluating, treating, and rehabilitating injuries. Additionally, my experiences as a Physical Therapist have offered me the opportunity to manage the care of individuals with a multitude of different orthopedic conditions. This has provided me with unique opportunities to employ high levels of creativity to manage a wide spectrum of different patient populations. These unique opportunities have also allowed for me to display my work ethic and dedication to providing quality evidence-based care, while becoming well versed in therapeutic modalities, injury rehabilitation, and manual therapy techniques. Also, while gaining necessary interpersonal skills, I have learned the organizational and administrative knowledge that would allow me to excel in any environment.
