At Commonwealth Fusion Systems, Jama raised $1.8 billion in just twelve weeks, accelerating the development of clean fusion energy as a climate solution. As COO and Executive Director of Responsible Innovation Labs, she spearheaded a groundbreaking Responsible AI Framework launched with the U.S. Secretary of Commerce and convened 500+ global tech leaders across 20 countries at the inaugural Founders Summit. Through her People in Common podcast, Jama connects with groundbreaking leaders like Presidential Medal of Freedom winner Father Greg Boyle, channeling wisdom and values into collective power. She has taught community organizing at Harvard Kennedy School, and worked in government and political campaigns, including a monthlong surge effort in Arizona for the 2024 election. Jama is a founding member of the Global Giving Tech + Innovation Council. She connects startup founders, philanthropists, tech leaders, political organizers, investors, policymakers, and community advocates to solve hard problems together.Jama holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Master of Public Policy from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government, where she was valedictorian and received and a full-tuition scholarship as a Kennedy Fellow.
