ABOUT JOSHUA MORMANN-JACKSON

29 years. No degree. No bootcamp. Just relentless curiosity and a bias toward building things that actually work. I\'m a design engineer and product leader—self-taught, on the job, from day one. I didn\'t wait for someone to hand me a credential before I started shipping. I picked up what I needed, when I needed it, and I\'ve been doing that ever since. It\'s not a gap in my resume. It\'s the whole point. Over the last decade I\'ve led cross-functional teams through everything from UMG artist websites and SaaS application UIs, to design systems, low-code platform training, and fully agentic app design through production deployment. Most of it is under NDA—which is why I don\'t have a flashy portfolio and why I live off word-of-mouth. If you know, you know. My natural habitat is the space between design and engineering on one axis, and between problem and creative solution on the other. I\'ve shipped across mobile, web, on-site installations, and TV—turning gnarly requirements into clean, scalable front-end architectures and proving, repeatedly, that a small agile team with the right skills and tooling can out-move an enterprise team ten times its size. When I\'m not deep in client work, I\'m building things for myself. Agentic web and development has my attention lately, and I\'ve always got a couple of personal projects running in parallel. Current WIPs: smc.art and redacted.cx. I have strong opinions about where design tooling is going—specifically that the next generation of platforms needs to minimize cognitive overhead and treat AI collaboration as a first-class feature, not a bolt-on. If you\'re building something in that space that isn\'t afraid to challenge the status quo, I\'d genuinely like to talk.
