ALIVE Outdoors is an experiential education company specializing in the creation and delivery of customized, meaningful programs for schools and organizations in the outdoors. What makes us distinctive is the depth of personal service and care we provide. We measure our success by the enduring relationships we build with all who participate in our programs.ALIVE’s educational philosophy is grounded in the theory of experiential education and is implemented in the programs we run through our four-stage experiential learning model. Our global and technologically driven society pushes us all to do more while leaving many lacking balance in their lives. In response, ALIVE programs focus on personal strengths and character development to empower learners to better navigate school, work and life for personal and professional happiness and well-being.I am sincerely grateful to all of the schools and clients that entrust ALIVE Outdoors with aspects of their student leadership training & outdoor experiential education programs.We currently work with a number of schools at multiple grade levels. I used to have a long blurb on here for my “profile”, but then I ditched it, mostly because I doubt anyone ever read it, and at this time in my life I crave simplicity. I have endless values that guide me, but if I had to boil it down to what really matters to me, it’s simple…reliability and being real, even when it’s not always easy. I seek to be around people whose words and actions align, and I aim to be that kind of person as well. I value showing up for people, in the good times, and the harder ones. I think self-awareness is integral to a life well lived. Through my work with ALIVE Outdoors, I aim to empower young people to be authentic, confident and mindful, ideally guiding them towards a grounded, meaningful and intentional life.
