I am a recent graduate from North Carolina Central University (NCCU) School of Law with a passion for innovation and advocacy. As a first-generation college graduate from Albuquerque, NM, I have built a diverse legal background across the public and private sectors, with a growing focus on intellectual property, artificial intelligence, and data privacy.At NCCU, I served as Class President and President of the Hispanic Latin Law Student Association, and I was a student attorney in NCCU\'s Intellectual Property Clinic, where I supported clients with patent and trademark matters. Professionally, I have gained experience across major industries: I supported IBM’s Intellectual Property team as a Legal Intern, assist with open-source software clearances, licensing, and data governance, and previously worked at Intel as a Summer Associate, where I contributed to high-impact legal initiatives in the tech space. My prior roles also include compliance work at GSK, judicial research at the North Carolina Supreme Court, and prosecution support at the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office in Virginia during a leadership transition.I am particularly passionate about using my legal training to help bridge the access to justice gap, especially for marginalized and underrepresented communities, through the strategic use of emerging technology. My career interests include data privacy and security, intellectual property, and tech policy, and I aspire to counsel innovative companies navigating complex legal and ethical landscapes.Outside of law, I am committed to supporting underserved communities, advocating for animal welfare, and helping families, particularly seniors, access estate planning resources. I also enjoy traveling, discovering new restaurants, and spending time with my chocolate lab, RiRi.
