   Being an avid runner having run almost 100 marathons and over 100 ultramarathons so far, I wanted to create an ultramarathon running event myself. I started that dream in 2015 when I had the idea to put on a race in the area where I grew up. After 2 years of planning the inaugural race happened in 2017 with 50 participants running the 80KM race. We also had a half marathon distance that year. In 2018, we removed the half marathon distance and added a 100KM, which gained much interests. That year, 95 participants from 13 countries registered. In 2019, we removed the 80KM and added a 50KM and 160KM. The response was tremendous and we had 308 runners from 30 countries. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, we had do cancel the 2020 edition. Going forward we moved to a new start/finish location in 2021 which allows us to host more runners. That year, we had 511 runners register for the race and we had a great race weekend. In 2022, 608 runners from 43 countries joined us. For 2023, we welcomed 729 runners and in 2024 we broke the registrations mark with 1,021 runners from 53
