About Jakob Gilbo
Hi there! My name is Jakob Gilbo, and I am currently a freshman at Kansas State University pursuing a Bachelor of Science majoring in Finance and Accounting and a minor in Economics, with an expected graduation date of May 2029. Through my coursework and campus involvement, I am currently building a strong foundation in business principles while exploring opportunities to gain real-world experience in the financial field. I am eager to continue developing my skills and preparing for a career in finance as I progress through my undergraduate studies.I am passionate about leadership, professional development, and building meaningful connections within the business community. Through my involvement as a Business Ambassador, Balanced Man Scholarship Chairman, and member of Alpha Kappa Psi, I have enjoyed serving others and engaging with driven peers and prospective students. These experiences, along with supporting student-athletes in the Strategic Learning Program, have strengthened my teamwork, communication, and organizational skills while deepening my interest in a future career in finance.Right now, I am pursuing a degree in finance to develop the analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills needed to create long-term value in a business environment. My experiences in leadership, customer service, and academic support have strengthened my work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to perform in fast-paced, team-oriented settings. I am seeking internship opportunities where I can apply these skills, gain hands-on experience in finance, and continue building toward a career in financial analysis or corporate finance.
