ABOUT JAKOB BERR
A photojournalist from Germany, I received my Masters of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri - School of Journalism with a Fulbright scholarship. From the very beginning of my career as a photographer, I was interested in working with people and exploring their lives with the camera. Through several journeys to different countries – including Bangladesh, India, Zimbabwe, England and the United States – I have developed an insatiable curiosity for other cultures. The intensive contact with the hard sides of life that I had in Bangladesh, India and Zimbabwe has instilled a sense of responsibility in me that my work as photographer should contribute to social change.
