Roading Capital Projects Portfolio Management• Maintain a portfolio overview of capital projects for the Roading Team.• Provide portfolio level reporting to Roading Team Lead, Executive, Council Committees and Roading Project Governance Group, and other stakeholders as required.Procurement• Ensure procurement for capital projects (planning, design and delivery) meets internal WDC and external NZTA procurement requirements.Build and manage key relationship• Develop and maintain effective client, business and stakeholder relationships and partnerships to facilitate progress of team and Council goals.• Identify and assist with resolution of any internal and external stakeholder issues.Project Management• Lead and deliver specific roading capital projects, as required.• Develop Principal’s Requirements documentation for projects delivered via others, including the Community Projects team.• Act as the business and budget owner representative and escalation point for capital projects being delivered through others.• Provide technical acumen to support small to large infrastructure projects delivered by the roading team and wider organisation.• Manage internal resources, external consultancies and contractors in the delivery of specific transportation projects.• Ensure CAMMs (WDC project management tool) is actively utilised to manage projects, is updated and accurate as to project status to maintain visibility of projects by others.Financial Management• Develop financial targets and manage budgets through effective management of resources.• Provide useful and timely financial information• Ensure systems and controls are in place to protect Council, its people and its assets.• Ensure all financial risks are identified and managed.Process ImprovementStakeholder ManagementSelf-developmentContinuously improve and innovateExecute sound decision makingTeam and organisational contributionLead and model Zero Harm
