Leading a large-scale ECM modernisation programme and high-risk projects involving critical legacy systems, while owning AI governance for Thames Water as a whole.On the ECM side, that means navigating the practical reality of migrating millions of documents from ageing platforms, sorting the signal from the noise, and ensuring what lands in modern tooling is actually usable rather than just relocated.For AI governance, I built and maintain the framework that Thames Water solution architects use when assessing AI use cases. That includes a use-case classification model, risk-tiered controls, mandatory implementation standards, and a review process that runs through SharePoint & BizzDesign. The focus is on governance that integrates with how teams already work, not on a parallel process that gets bypassed the moment there\'s delivery pressure.Across both, the job is broadly the same: make complex decisions visible, make ownership clear, and make sure the foundations are solid before the interesting stuff gets built on top.

I\'m a Solutions Architect and AI Governance Lead at Thames Water, sitting across two problems that most organisations treat as separate but aren\'t: how to modernise legacy content estates, and how to govern AI adoption without slowing delivery to a halt.Most of my work comes down to the same thing. Teams want to move fast with AI, but the foundations aren\'t ready. Information governance gaps, fragmented content, and unclear ownership. AI doesn\'t create those problems. It just exposes them at speed.On the governance side, I focus on practical, risk-tiered controls that delivery teams will actually use. Not 50-page policy decks that arrive after the decision has already been made. If your architects are already shipping AI features, the question isn\'t \"are we fully mature?\" It\'s \"can we show who made the risk decision, what evidence they used, and what triggers escalation?\"On the architecture side, I\'ve spent 8+ years working across enterprise and solution architecture in defence, utilities, and childcare (yes, really). I\'ve led EA tooling products, run large ECM modernisation programmes, and spent more time than I\'d like extracting value from systems that haven\'t had a UI update since 2005.Tools I work with day to day: ArchiMate, BiZZdesign, Azure, MuleSoft, SAP, Salesforce, Python, Power Platform.
