After 20 incredible years at Genentech, including the last 10 years working on Lucentis and helping to launch VABYSMO and SUSVIMO, I have begun a new professional endeavor. I cannot thank the countless mentors, colleagues, and friends I have had at Genentech, and my hope is to remain in touch with as many of them as possible. I could not have left had I not been offered a great new challenge in the Therapeutic Area that has captured my heart: Retina, a subspecialty of Ophthalmology. I have been given the opportunity to be the Vice President, Head of Izervay at Astellas. In this role I will lead the US Commercial efforts for Izervay, a new therapy for a blindness-causing disease called Geographic Atrophy. I look forward to continuing to work with so many great customers and colleagues in retina to make progress for patients!
