About Jake E.

Technology has always fascinated me. Growing up, it was rapidly evolving and becoming more ubiquitous throughout society. Technology was doing everything from solving some of the worlds’ most complex problems to turning strenuous and boring tasks into nothing more than a click of a button. I would often marvel at the way the world worked around me – and the more I learned, the more I wanted to learn. The knowledge I gained was addicting, and drove me to be a part of the industry. Throughout my studies and career, I have had the unique opportunity to see the world of technology from multiple perspectives. In university, I graduated as a chemical engineer and double minor in mathematics and biology. I was able to learn about everything from designing a chemical plant to designing a genome. Fast forward a few years, and I entered the world of IT – where I’ve had the opportunity to design and develop multiple MVPs – building at all points in the application lifecycle. Currently, I am acting as a platform engineer, helping to standardize automate and secure a multi-tenant Kubernetes environment hosted on AWS. I’ve been a biologist, mathematician, chemical engineer, software engineer, DeVops engineer, cloud engineer, and platform engineer and now I want to utilize my unique background to drive creative solutions to some of the problems plaguing the world today.
