About Jake Pokorny
I am a dynamic professional with a passion for all aspects of the outdoors whether it is studying the environment, enjoying outdoor activities such as snowboarding, camping, hiking or traveling to see the historical and natural aspects of our world. I have chosen to pursue a degree in Environmental Science because I know I will make a positive impact that will change the way we live in society. As a recent graduate from the University of Pittsburgh, I plan to use my degree and ambition to create a career that allows me to help reduce environmental impacts and study the endless wonders of our natural Earth. I offer a solid record of study that ranges from geology, remote sensing, lithology, biology, and geographic information systems. My extensive field work consists of Phase I and Phase II assessments, ground/storm/surface water sampling, soil borings, well installations and abandonments, wetland delineations, LNAPL & DNAPL recovery, contamination remediation, In Situ chemical injections, and much more.
