About Jake Weiss
A Metro Detroit native, I completed my undergraduate studies while living in Los Angeles at Cal State Northridge (CSUN) and later earned my master’s degree from the University of Oklahoma. I’m passionate about nature, fitness, technology, and construction. When I’m not working, I enjoy reading, running, traveling, and my dogs.Currently, I\'m contributing as the third generation at Weiss Construction. Having grown up in and around the company, I’ve had the opportunity to see firsthand how it evolved over time and what it takes to build and sustain long-term relationships and success in the civil construction industry. In parallel, I’m building Sequoia Construction, a water and wastewater contractor focused on delivering high-quality utility and environmental infrastructure projects. The intent is to carry forward the legacy, values and experience gained from Weiss while creating a modern, performance-driven organization built for long-term growth and success.I’m motivated by the opportunity to build an organization that does meaningful work, takes care of their people, and creates lasting value for the communities we serve.
