About Jake Sullivan

My background and passions are in LGBTQ+ youth advocacy, mentoring, program operations, project management, training development, and facilitation. I am committed to co-creating equitable and engaging knowledge-sharing practices, as well as cultivating compassionate community.In 2019, I cofounded Linked Mentoring, an LGBTQ+ youth-adult virtual mentoring program, with the mission to create transformative mentorship opportunities where LGBTQ+ young people are invited to explore their passions, agency, and personhood alongside an intergenerational community.In my free time, I love to read, collage, spend time with friends, watch reality TV, and hangout with my cat Beetlejuice.

Experience

1. Senior Manager, Field Learning

   Mentor

   Apr 2025 — Present

   Create online courses, including self-paced, live and hybrid, designed for various stakeholders in the mentoring field using MENTOR’s LMS Brightspace and other course authoring tools as necessary. Oversee new training curriculum development, for products including train-the-trainers, Summit pre-conferences, webinars and other in-person and virtual trainings. Develop and update quality control protocols for all training and coursework in alignment with instructional design industry standards.Plan and lead specialized learning events and tracks at the Summit that is responsive to mentoring field feedback such as pre-conference, youth-focused or certifications.Manage the rollout of a standard organization-wide product development process and support teams in adopting this for new MENTOR products. Manage and oversee MENTOR’s LMS (Brightspace) and credentialling (Credly) systems.Manage MENTOR’s annual product audit process, coordinating cross-functionally to ensure an organized rollout of updated and high-quality products.
