Jake is the Head of our Media Law Team. He acts for both claimants and defendants on the full spectrum of media and information law, including defamation, misuse of private information, breach of confidence, data protection and harassment. In reputation protection, Jake has great experience with adverse media or online interest which requires fast and reliable action. His clients have included household names in sports and entertainment, multinational companies, governments and ultra-high-net-worth individuals.Jake has a wealth of industry knowledge: he completed pupillage with top media law Chambers 5RB; worked in three of the most pre-eminent media law firms (Harbottle & Lewis, Carter-Ruck and Simons Muirhead and Burton) and has advised many of the major British media outlets, including The BBC, The Times, The Sun and The Mirror. He is also an NCTJ accredited journalist.
