About Jake Meyers
I am the Associate Director for Strategic Learning at PAX sapiens, a grantmaking and operating foundation dedicated to preventing predictable global catastrophes. My work focuses on advancing human security and sustainable peace through an evidence-based approach to organizational learning. In this role, I am leading the development of PAX\'s organizational learning strategy. I am responsible for creating a robust system for documenting the impact of our work and establishing a feedback loop between our long-term strategy, short-term operating plans, and specific program activities. This includes overseeing the collection and analysis of monitoring and evaluation data and using tools like strategic foresight and complex systems mapping to inform our work. My background as an organizational learning practitioner is rooted in catalyzing knowledge exchange and evidence-based learning. I am committed to innovating the use of different systems and processes to improve collaboration and adaptively manage programs. I bring a demonstrated commitment to learning and knowledge sharing from previous roles with organizations such as USAID, Bixal, iDE, FEMA, the Peace Corps, and the Fulbright Program. I am driven by the belief that improving the ability of global systems to make sound decisions on the basis of the best available evidence is more critical than ever.
