ABOUT JAKE MARK RIDGWAY
Fourteen and a half years of service in the Royal Regiment of Artillery and serving in numerous countries in Operations and Exercises across the globe. Gaining promotion to Bombardier and privileged to be a Detachment Commander/line manager, while alongside being assistant football coach to the Royal Artillery FC (women’s team).Highly motivated, confident and versatile individual who was trusted to work above his rank and responsible for the well being and development of his soldiers in my most recent position as Battery Training Officer. Adaptable to anything thrown at me due to the nature of my career, to question things if they are not right or not to the standard I have been taught. Able to be resilient and robust to the ever changing work schedules/problems I encountered, to overcome adversity and have experience in leading small and large groups of people to success in any project given to me.I am studying/working towards being a Geo-technician Technical, I will carry the values and standards from my military career into this new adventure I am wishing to pursue.Understanding I have a lot to learn in the forthcoming months I will relish any challenge that is coming to me.Recently completed IOSH managing Safety and ROSPA awareness training in various sectors I.e asbestos and wheel abrasive.In my spare time I am a FA registered footballer coach and currently obtained UEFA C Licence, Player Welfare Officer, FA Level 2 & 3 Emergency Medical First Aid in Football, National Futsal Course and lastly my National Goalkeeper Course qualification. Also I volunteer at Newcastle Blue Star Football Club as a Kit Assitant/ Team Medic to help in a team who currently sits in the ninth tier of the football pyramid.
