Responsible for leading the development and integration of offsite manufacturing and DfMA strategies during early project stages, ensuring projects maximise the value of modular delivery, while aligning engineering, planning, and estimating functions to support a smooth transition from work winning through to project delivery.Working across design, commercial, and delivery teams, I identify opportunities to apply scalable modular products and engineered offsite solutions to improve buildability, programme certainty, and overall project performance.Key responsibilities include: • Leading offsite strategy across pre-construction and bid stages• Managing ECIs and PCSAs to embed buildable, commercially viable DfMA solutions from the outset and align stakeholders through subsequent design stages• Identifying and developing DfMA opportunities across complex MEP systems and ensuring projects fully capture offsite value• Integrating scalable modular products with project-specific engineering solutions• Aligning engineering, planning, and estimating functions to support seamless transition from work winning through to delivery• Leading strategic engagement with the supply chain to inform solution development, pricing, and delivery strategy• Overseeing risk and opportunity management (ROPs) to optimise commercial performance• Contributing to the wider business unit leadership team to support strategic decision-making and growth• Leading NG Bailey’s industrialised construction drive through the Standard Products business unit, supporting the development and implementation of scalable product solutions• Engaging with clients early to drive adoption of offsite solutions and shape project delivery strategies

ABOUT JAKE LODGE
I am a Pre-Construction Manager within NG Bailey’s Offsite Manufacturing (OSM) division, with over 10 years’ experience in MEP Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) and industrialised construction.My focus is on identifying, developing, and integrating offsite solutions early in the project lifecycle to maximise programme certainty, quality, and efficiency. I work across design, commercial, and delivery teams to ensure solutions are not only technically robust, but buildable and commercially viable.A key driver in my work is the shift toward industrialised construction through scalable, repeatable MEP products. I’m particularly focused on moving beyond bespoke project solutions to create scalable MEP solutions designed for repeatable use across multiple projects—improving efficiency, reducing risk, and driving more predictable outcomes.Through this approach, projects benefit from the speed and consistency of manufacturing while retaining the flexibility of engineered design.Over the past decade, I have played a key role in developing and delivering a wide range of offsite and DfMA solutions across complex projects, supporting the integration of modular approaches from early design through to delivery.I’m passionate about advancing modern methods of construction and helping drive a more productised, scalable future for building services across the UK.
