About Jake Laney
As a Nuclear Mechanical Operator and an Engineering Laboratory Technician in the USN, I gained vast experience in propulsion plant operations, maintenance, system troubleshooting, radiological controls and analytical chemistry. On the USS Carl Vinson as the Reactor Laboratory Work Center Supervisor, I managed a work center of 9 individuals scheduling and supervising the execution of maintenance to ensure safe plant operations in a critical environment.Currently attached to the Naval Propulsion Training Unit, I operate and instruct on multiple Mechanical watch stations. I also supervise power plant operations and maintenance. As a Staff Master Trainer have had two years experience generating and leading training in a classroom and on the job. Transitioning out of the Navy I am interested in Data Center and Nuclear Power Plant opportunities.
