ABOUT JAKE JOHNSTON

I\'m a first-year Business student at Wilfrid Laurier University with practical experience in marketing, retail, and skilled trades. My background is unique. I’ve worked in customer-facing roles, promotional marketing, and electrical apprenticeship. This has given me a strong mix of people skills, technical knowledge, and work ethic.On the Laurier Promotion Team, I help with campus marketing initiatives. I grow brand awareness, engage students, and assist with events that build a sense of community. I enjoy creating experiences, connecting with people, and professionally representing organizations.At Golf Town, I developed strong skills in customer service, sales, and product knowledge. I learned to understand customer needs, recommend the right solutions, and build positive relationships while working in a busy retail environment.As an Electrician Apprentice, I gained hands-on technical experience, problem-solving skills, and awareness of safety. This role taught me discipline, teamwork, and how to learn quickly on job sites.I’m passionate about business, marketing, and creating strong customer experiences. I bring a positive attitude, a leadership mindset, and a willingness to learn to everything I do.
