Software Engineer

Distributed event platform: Contributing to a company-wide Event Distribution Service (EDS) that ingests telemetry from internal applications and routes it through a Kafka-backed pipeline, supporting ingestion, routing, transformation, and publishing using AWS Lambda, Avro schemas, and DynamoDB for event state management.• Scalable event processing architecture: Designed and implemented a reusable publish architecture supporting both low-latency per-event streaming and batch pipelines (S3 Parquet), using a strategy pattern with buffering and flush semantics to standardize event delivery across multiple analytics destinations.• Analytics publishing & multi-destination integration: Built and extended analytics publishing components that transform standardized event payloads into provider-specific formats and deliver them to external platforms, enabling flexible and extensible multi-sink integrations across the pipeline.• Reliability & fault tolerance: Implemented idempotent event processing, retry mechanisms, and dead-letter handling backed by DynamoDB to ensure reliable delivery in distributed workflows and improving resilience under partial failures.• API security & infrastructure: Developed a custom AWS Lambda authorizer integrated with Okta JWT authentication (JWKS validation and caching) for API Gateway, and provisioned infrastructure across environments using Terraform.• Schema standardization & data quality: Contributed to schema standardization using Avro, enforcing consistent event contracts and validation rules to improve data quality, interoperability, and downstream analytics reliability.• Developer tooling & observability: Improved developer experience and system visibility by building CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions), enhancing monitoring with Grafana dashboards, and enabling local end-to-end testing.• Contributed to the production Android application (10-4 by WEX), implementing user-facing features and integrating with backend services.
