About Jake Desiderio

Current master’s student at Thunderbird Global Management and Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law in Phoenix, AZ who is achieving a Masters of Global Management with a double concentration focus in Finance and Legal Studies. Prior to starting his master’s degree, he was a Division 1 athlete and finalized his undergraduate degrees at Arizona State University receiving a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Business. His background has always made him very competitive and ambitious to learn everything he can about finance, law, and consulting. He previously had experience interning at a Top 10 Finance Internship at Northwestern Mutual where he managed client’s financial assets and liabilities to achieve and protect their goals. Immediately after graduating he enrolled into Thunderbird School of Global Business Management which has ranked as the #1 Masters in Global Management program and Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law which ranks as #25 in best law school rankings. As a student he was selected to be the President of the Finance Association where he helped connect current students and alumni to all facets of the financial industry. He also created his own financial insurance brokerage to help clients hedge against risk. He has had the opportunity to lead two international projects with a finance focus in the past year. The first project he was responsible for researching investment strategies and investment decisions for a company based out of Sweden that produces equipment for the Olympic Games into the North American market. The job involved modeling business scenarios, tracking key performance metrics, and creating innovative business methods. His success in that role led to a nomination to give one of the keynote speeches for the Association of Aquatic Professionals in February 2023 for developing a new sustainable business practice and forming a partnership with Arizona State University to use excess plastic waste to design innovative products. His findings are being published in both international and domestic magazines in Spring of 2023. The second project he was tasked with delivering an exit strategy for a medical device company by developing implementation plan options for an exit for the company to act on over the next 18-24 months.

   Manage $350+ million book of AUM (Assets Under Management) on Charles Schwab platform & audited additional $200 million in life insurance & annuities across many carriers: Minnesota Life, Nationwide, Prudential, Pacific Life, Voya, Jackson National, etc.• Achieved a net growth of 100% over two years -$1.5M (2022) to $3M (2024) by leveraging technology-driven solutions to streamline client reviews. Integrated Jump AI into client meetings, streamlining data updates across platforms including eMoney, MoneyGuide, RightCapital, YCharts, Morningstar, Orion, and Salesforce. This enhancement doubled meeting capacity from 5 to 10 per day by significantly improving operational efficiency.• Direct quarterly trainings for company shareholders, top advisors, & interns on a multitude of software technologies. Involved in the decision-making of choosing technologies included in the advisor\'s technology platform. • Perform trades, cash reports, distributions, contributions, DCA Buys Sells, etc, for 400+ clients & corporate accounts. • Chosen as the 2023 Staff Member of the Year, an award voted on by 500+ colleagues.
