ABOUT JAKE CARROLL

I am a former professional footballer with 15 years’ experience in the game, and most recently working in secondary school education, helping young people develop.Across both environments, I’ve worked closely with young people navigating pressure, expectation, setbacks, and identity. I’ve seen first-hand how talent alone is never enough and how many young footballers are left unprepared for the mental, emotional, and life challenges that come with pursuing the game.Today, I work as a youth and performance mentor, supporting young footballers to develop discipline, confidence, and direction both on and beyond the pitch.My mentoring focuses on:• Managing pressure and expectation• Building strong habits and personal standards• Developing identity beyond football• Navigating setbacks, Injuries, release, and transition• Leadership, accountability, and life skillsI don’t promise contracts or shortcuts. Instead, I help young people become resilient, grounded, and self-aware individuals who are prepared for whatever path football takes them on.My approach is shaped by lived experience in professional sport and proven leadership in education.
