I’m a Group IT Procurement professional at Genus. I help teams across the Genus Group source and roll out hardware and software globally, working between IT, Finance and Commercial to make sure spend and supplier choices are clear and well managed. I’m also part of the IT Operations leadership team and the current IT Sustainability Lead.My role covers sourcing and renewals, supplier negotiations, contract management, inventory oversight, and optimising the software catalogue and licencing. I spend a lot of time on spend visibility, analytics and forecasting, using Power BI to reconcile budget vs actuals and support the IT leadership team with budgeting. I work closely with stakeholders to keep procurement compliant and aligned to what the business needs, with a focus on Microsoft platforms (Dynamics 365, Microsoft office 365) and Microsoft Azure.I’m currently studying FinOps, IT contracting law, and CIPS (LV 4). Before moving into procurement, I worked in recruitment, which helped me build practical stakeholder management and a direct communication style. I have an MSci Biotechnology (2:1) from University of Nottingham.
