Oversee all aspects of TWSV educational programming, including the Young Playwrights Project, Young Storytellers Lab, The Senior Playwrights Project, and Student Matinees- Maintain and build relationships with students, parents, educators, and administrators in the TWSV community- Develop and design curriculum for educational programs at TWSV, including updating additional programs for relaunch: Concepts At Play (CAP), Master Teaching Artist Professional Development Training for Educators, and 1440 Countdown- Hire, train, retain, and manage all TWSV teaching artists- Supervise and guide teaching artists in the classroom, modeling best practices in teaching and facilitating a dynamic, student-centered learning environment- Manage calendaring and day-to-day of TWSV programs, personnel, sites, and additional materials as needed- Oversee and collaborate with TWSV finance committee to create and maintain the department’s annual allocated budget- Partner with the marketing team to coordinate promo materials, including e-blasts, social media posts, website updates, and collateral- Assist the development department with fundraising opportunities, grant initiatives, donor cultivation opportunities, and other avenues of fiscal support- Oversee production of all final presentations of learning, culminations, and workshops related to educational programs- Create and design the education department’s annual report- Attend professional development, networking, and community building opportunities as necessary- Continue to advance the TWSV arts-education initiatives.

ABOUT JAKE ARKY
Jake Arky is an actor, writer, and producer of both films and theatre. Jake has produced plays and musicals with The Cherry Lane Theatre, The La Jolla Playhouse, and TheatreWorks Silicon Valley, where he currently serves as the Director of Education.His film production work includes Everything Is Illuminated, Sunshine Cleaning, and the Academy Award-winning LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE, as well as the independent short feature BROTHERS OF EMERY, based on his original play. He is the executive producer of the short film, WAITING ROOM, with Tiny Titan Productions as well as the feature, SYNC, from Femme Regard. In 2009, Jake co-founded So Say We All: 501c3 literary and performing arts non-profit organization whose mission is to create opportunities for individuals to tell their stories, and tell them better, through three core priorities: publishing, performance, and education.
