About Jaishree Balu
I have 7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer building ETL/ELT and warehouse-ready data pipelines. I gather ETL requirements, analyze source systems, and design automated workflows on AWS and Microsoft Azure. I transform data using AWS Glue and execute distributed batch processing jobs using Apache Spark with PySpark, loading structured outputs into Apache Hive on top of HDFS. I build incremental ingestion pipelines that process only new or updated records using Change Data Capture (CDC), load data from on-prem SQL servers and external applications through REST APIs into analytical storage on Azure Data Lake Storage (Bronze → Silver → Gold) and validate data accuracy and schema alignment using Delta Lake standards with Great Expectations and delta validation rules. I tune Spark SQL and database queries for performance and cloud compute cost, deploy jobs on clusters such as Amazon EMR and Azure Databricks, package Spark JAR dependencies, perform unit testing, fix bugs, monitor pipeline warnings and job failures, apply dimensional and relational data models (star, snowflake, and dimensional schemas), deploy CI/CD automation through Azure DevOps, and land analytical data into warehouses like Amazon Redshift and Azure Synapse Analytics for reporting. I automate enterprise approvals and data synchronization between ERP and EAM platforms using Azure Logic Apps, unify datasets for KPI reporting and analytics from ERP/EAM sources such as Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations and Hexagon EAM, and build KPI and KPI-aligned dashboards through Microsoft Fabric to support business reporting and performance insights.
