ABOUT JAI OHRI
I am a student at the University of Alberta studying Computer Engineering, and I have always felt particularly comfortable in leading problem-solving with a touch of innovation. I have completed one co-op term where I was an active team member on the research projects in machine learning and CFD simulations that greatly enhanced both efficiency and predictive accuracy within an industry environment. Also coupled with this technical experience were management-level roles, such as being the Vice President of Finance for the Engineering Students Society, where I managed budgets and sought sponsorships for major initiatives. Volunteer work as a Career Fair Coordinator further developed my organizational and communication skills in executing large events. Convinced that technology must serve a good purpose, I have worked on several projects in health, public safety, and other verticals. Two examples include \"PhysMatch\" and \"FireWatch\", using machine learning, IoT, and real-time data to solve critical problems. I’m always eager to learn and take on new challenges, whether through academic projects, competitions, or co-op roles.
