ABOUT RISHABH JAIN

A subject matter expert in the renewable energy sector, I have nine years of experience influencing policy design, reform, and adoption throughout India and beyond its borders. I have made strides at the intersection of technology and sustainability, advancing the scale-up of critical RE projects, whilst collaborating with company CEOs, government bureaucrats, and leading stakeholders. I leverage my influence and expertise to promote sustainability by authoring researched-backed reports that have been published by CEEW, academic journals and media houses. In my writings, I present the benefits of RE, translating complex information into understandable terms which garners awareness and support from governments, leading industry stakeholders, and companies. In addition, I have built business cases, adapt policies in response to market changes, and advocate for RE opportunities to be presented to underserved areas and populations. To date, I’ve been successful in advancing progress in the areas of renewable technologies, RE manufacturing, and decentralised or utility-scale projects. Key Ongoing Projects: • RE manufacturing: Thoroughly analyse the manufacturing process across the solar and energy storage value chain and craft strategic recommendations to elevate India as a manufacturing hub. • Renewable Energy in India: Develop strategies in partnership with government agencies to decarbonise and increase the share of RE in few states and UT\'s. • Electric Vehicle Charging: Working on a pilot for distribution utility-led electric vehicle charging in collaboration with the distribution company.
