ABOUT RAKSHIT JAIN
I am a fourth-year Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) student specializing in Accounting and Management Information Systems from Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University. Post-graduation I am interested in perusing CPA designation.If I had to describe myself in two adjectives, I will say I am data-driven and people-centered. I love to make decisions and solve problems based on data. Perhaps this is one of the reasons for co-creating SFU Resources, a one-stop website that almagests all the essential resources at SFU for incoming and new students at SFU (read more about it in the volunteer section). From my past experience of working in teams either at school or work, I have realized that I enjoy collaborating with people to solve problems or to develop new innovative ideas. While working in a team environment or in a client-facing role I ensure to listen to understand and show kindness and empathy in interactions to build relationships. In my spare time, I like to try new activities. In winters, I would probably be skiing or snowboarding, during sunny days you will find me cycling and when it’s raining I will be playing squash. If I am not doing either of them, I would probably be trying a new recipe. I look forward to connecting with you!
