About Preksha Jain
An economist by training and currently a PhD student in Public Policy at NYU, I\'m interested in studying how digital platforms and technology affect inequality and whether they alleviate or exacerbate constraints for the poor and the vulnerable in developing countries.Previously, an Economist at the World Bank and a Predoctoral Research Fellow at MIT Sloan. I made the transition from the world of consulting at Bain & Co. to the world of policy research ~7 years back when I moved to the US for my Master\'s at Yale University and think I may have found my purpose and passion in trying to make a difference in the world by using data for good.I\'m generally curious about and fascinated by the interdisciplinary synergies in economics/ public policy and am always open to collaboration so please feel free to reach out!
