ABOUT JAINAB BANO

With 10 years of experience designing and building large-scale distributed systems, I am a Senior Software Engineer at Salesforce, working on artificial intelligence–driven platforms with an emphasis on system architecture, scalability, and reliability. I operate comfortably in ambiguous problem spaces, driving technical decisions and helping teams converge on solutions that are simple, maintainable, and effective at scale.Previously, during 8+ years at Microsoft, I worked across ranking relevance, machine learning systems, and backend engineering for large-scale platforms in web search indexing and content moderation. My role involved designing and evolving core backend services, improving ranking quality, and contributing to ML-driven pipelines where correctness, performance, and safety were critical. I collaborated closely with partner teams, led design discussions, and mentored engineers through technical reviews to raise overall system quality.Complemented by an MBA from The Wharton School, I bring a balanced perspective that connects engineering rigor with product and business context. I’m motivated by building durable systems, raising the technical bar, and multiplying impact through clear design and thoughtful leadership.
