   As chief of staff to Executive Ryan Mello, I oversee the dedicated teams who handle community outreach, board and commission appointments, communications, government relations, Tribal relations, and regional efforts like Sound Transit and Puget Sound Regional Council. I also manage our office operations and make sure we’re using our time and resources wisely.As part of Executive Mello’s inaugural leadership team, one of the most crucial aspects of my work is guiding creation of our strategic plan and mission of moving Pierce County “Forward Together - Building communities that are safe, welcoming and connected.” We are building a culture across county government that is rooted in collaboration and partnership, especially with the people most affected by the county’s decisions and actions. Pierce County is Washington’s second-largest county and we are committed to making it a place people are proud to call home.
