ABOUT JAIME SHARP

Recognized for advancing equity-focused philanthropy and organizational development, Jaime Sharp (she/any) is a Black, queer cultural ambassador passionate about fostering systemic change and intergenerational connections to empower communities through arts and culture.With extensive experience as a performing artist and arts administrator, Jaime now focuses on organizing institutional donors and strengthening philanthropic support for the cultural sector as Senior Program Manager for Grantmakers in the Arts. Committed to collaboration, she serves on nonprofit boards and steering committees across the Chicagoland area and beyond, contributing to initiatives that drive socio-cultural transformation. A lifelong learner, she has participated in numerous leadership programs nationwide, including BIPOC Leadership Circle with artEquity and Women of Color in the Arts Mentorship Program.In 2023, Jaime launched CultivArt during a yearlong fellowship with Turn the Spotlight. This free, interactive online resource hub supports people of the global majority in arts administration by offering tools to build organizational and management skills, explore career pathways, and foster community within the arts and culture sector.Based in Chicago by way of the South, Jaime shares her vibrant life with two cats, better known as \"the girls.\" A self-proclaimed foodie, certified SCUBA diver, world traveler, LEGO enthusiast, and lover of all things creative, Jaime infuses her work with the same curiosity and joy that defines her personal passions.Visual Description: Jaime is a light-skinned Black woman in her 20s with brown eyes and shoulder-length and dark curly hair.
