About Jaime Merrill

I\'m interested in telling peoples\' stories through design. Sometimes the story is a subtle whisper, and other times the story is highly evident, loud and clear. Since graduating in 2009 with my BFA in Interior Design, I have had the opportunity to work closely with visionary thinkers and designers, contributing to award-winning projects. I observe, always curious and ready to learn more, and it is with this innate desire that I provide creative and management support to each project. I have over 8 years cumulative experience in retail management, which allows me to comfortably engage with diverse groups of people, and frequently uncover important questions to ask when working alone, or collaboratively in teams. I view my role as Designer as a type of Creative Interpreter/Problem Solver; helping people is my first and foremost allegiance. In practice, this means I strive to be an active listener, ask good questions, and provide specific and unique solutions that help express the \"story\"(solve the problem) for each client. Specialties: Client Relations, Conceptual Design, Color, Textiles, Space Planning, and Custom Furniture Design.
