I’m not just chasing a white coat, I’m building a future where clear vision is a basic right, not a luxury.As a Human Biology major at UC Irvine and UCI Bio Sci EASE Scholar, I’m passionate about changing the way underserved communities access eye care. My dream is to become an ophthalmologist who brings affordable, culturally sensitive care to families like mine, families who’ve gone too long without it.From volunteering with UCI Flying Samaritans in rural Mexico to assisting patients at Anaheim Urgent Care, I’ve been on the front lines of healthcare. I’ve grown through programs like UCLA/CDU SHPEP, UC Berkeley Opto-Camp, and research-intensive experiences at Georgetown and Rice University. Each opportunity has sharpened my skills in healthcare and my purpose.But my commitment doesn’t stop at medicine. I’m the Founder and CEO of Today’s Tomorrow Scholarships Foundation, helping students from underrepresented backgrounds access scholarships and opportunities that change lives. As a former FSSP RA and Peer Mentor, I’ve also supported over 200 first-year students at UCI, many of whom remind me of the path I once walked.Fluent in both Spanish and English, I strive to make healthcare more inclusive and more human.
