About Jaime Balboa

I feel most relevant when I’m contributing meaningfully to solutions for society\'s biggest challenges: education quality and equity, social and economic mobility, building a more just, compassionate, and inclusive world. It is my pleasure to serve as Executive Director of 826LA, which offers free writing and tutoring programs to some of LA\'s most economically impacted neighborhoods. I’m intellectually curious and am always learning because I know we haven’t quite figured out everything we need to know to be better. I benchmark our organizational performance against competitor organizations and ask, “what can we learn from their successes and failures?” I’m a humanist, a teller of stories in written and spoken word. At the end of the day, my career can be summed up as a contributor to societal good. I get jazzed when our programs and services help the intended audiences reach new heights.
