Working to ensure clients are safe from themselves and others as they are in a treatment plan to stabilize and assess their longterm care options, often while being detained by court order. I facilitated classes that help with life skill training, community building, and self reflection/assessment. Clients served are managing a range of factors, including but not limited to: depression, anxiety, sexual abuse, drug induced psychosis, autism, suicidal ideation, self harm, eating disorders, DV, assault aggression, bipolar, disassociation, Catalonia, TBI, PTSD, borderline personality, and schizophrenia. I help the clinical team monitor and note behavior for treatment planning so a patient can transition to a less restrictive order. I instruct on-floor trainings with orienting staff, covering all necessary skills.

ABOUT JAHN KUIPER

As an LMHC in Expressive Art Therapy candidate interested in the research and development of Neuroaesthetics and Impact Thinking, the intersections of storytelling and healing. As I create my own storytelling through poetry, prose, and photography, I\'ve worked inside the classroom and out to help people develop ideas through creative writing, photography, and interdisciplinary arts on how our own narratives can help them build a vocabulary to express how we experience the world. I\'ve worked with veterans, native tribes, and behavioral patients to develop a safe atmosphere where self expression, then self realization can occur. I\'m working on transitioning from the classroom into {LMHC) expressive art therapies, and along with way serving and looking to serve different service areas in the local community: veterans, homeless, tribes, foster care, sex trade prevention/recovery, and nature therapy. I hope I can honor my past service in the Marine Corps, honor my present of being a single dad to multi-ethnic children, and honor a future of developing how narrative and nature healing practices can practically and accessorily serve the vulnerable via the intersectional incorporation of the larger legacy of linguistics, relationship to land, archetypes, and cultural mythos.
